Appomattox Celebrates Juneteenth…As A New Federal Holiday

While it's the first year this is a federal holiday, it's not the first time the town has celebrated.

This is the second year Appomattox For Equality has held this festival.

Sharonda Mosley, President of Appomattox For Equality, and Tyresha McCoy, Vice President, said they're happy more people can learn about Juneteenth.
